Sevillanas are defined as a traditional Spanish dance with their own structure, made up of four distinct parts – “coplas”.
Learning Sevillanas involves not only absorbing Hispanic culture, but also the pleasure of learning a dance that can be practised at the various fairs in Spain (the Feria de Sevilla, Feria del Rocio, Feria de Jerez de la Frontera, among others), where enthusiasts from all over the world gather and everyone dances together, sharing the same taste and flair so characteristic of this style!
Sevillanas can be danced in pairs, in a circle, in a square and individually. Sevillanas are also danced in pairs between two female dancers, which does not imply the requirement of a male partner.
