Contemporary Dance 
 
Contemporary Dance emerged in the mid-20th century, initially evolving from ballet and modern dance. Today, however, its aesthetic extends much further and embraces a wider range of influences. Contemporary Dance is now expressed through each choreographer’s individual repertoire. It may draw inspiration from a variety of dance styles and incorporate floor work, release technique, improvisation, partner work, falls and explorations of gravity, among other elements. release, improvisation, pair work, falls and gravity challenges, etc. 
 
The class 
In these classes, students explore the diversity of Contemporary Dance techniques while developing coordination, strength, flexibility, concentration, discipline, expressiveness and performance skills. 
The learning objectives are defined in the curriculum.
