Hip-hop is a cultural movement that began in the late 1960s in the United States as a reaction to social conflicts and the violence suffered by less privileged classes in urban society. It emerged as a street culture, a movement for the suburbs to claim space and voice. It is a dance based on 3 different techniques: B-boying, Locking and Popping. These later gave rise to Hip hop (also known as New Style), a dance full of dynamics in which musicality is worked on in detail. Accessible to everyone, it is a very complete form of expression that works the body (at a cardio-respiratory and muscular level) and the mind.
