{"id":294,"date":"2026-08-14T14:43:44","date_gmt":"2026-08-14T14:43:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/oeirasdance.pt\/?post_type=oda_professor&#038;p=294"},"modified":"2026-08-14T14:43:44","modified_gmt":"2026-08-14T14:43:44","slug":"isabel-rodriguez","status":"publish","type":"oda_professor","link":"https:\/\/oeirasdance.pt\/en\/professor\/isabel-rodriguez\/","title":{"rendered":"Isabel Rodriguez"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"p1\">Isabel Rodriguez began studying classical dance at the age of six, training with Vanda Ribeiro da Silva, Anna Mascolo and Margarida de Abreu.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Over the following 14 years, she broadened her training with Portuguese and international teachers in Ballet, Contemporary Dance, Modern Dance, Jazz and Choreology, among other disciplines.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">In 2000, she began studying Flamenco and Sevillanas in Portugal and has since continued her training in this field in Seville and Granada.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">She began teaching Sevillanas and Flamenco in 2004 and has continued working as a teacher ever since.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">In 2006, she co-founded the group Gitanillas, with which she created several shows. Over the years, she has performed in numerous theatre productions and Flamenco events.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">In 2009, she opened the Isabel Rodriguez Dance Studio.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">In 2013, she founded the Flamenco group Son Aires de Andaluc\u00eda, which enabled her to develop her work as a teacher, choreographer and artistic director.<br \/>\nIn November 2015, she was a guest dancer at the Lisbon Flamenco Festival, held at Casino Estoril.<br \/>\nIn December 2016, she worked as choreographer, dancer and artistic director of an inclusive dance project with CERCIOEIRAS.<br \/>\nIn October 2017, she was a guest dancer at the \u201cJantar Entre Dois \u00c1guas\u201d event, held as part of the Lisbon Flamenco Festival at the Altis Grand Hotel.<br \/>\nAlso in October 2017, she performed in Yolanda Soares\u2019 \u201cRoyal Fado\u201d show at Teatro Tivoli BBVA in Lisbon.<br \/>\nIn March 2018, she once again performed in Yolanda Soares\u2019 \u201cRoyal Fado\u201d, this time at Coliseu do Porto.<br \/>\nSince 2011, she has worked as choreographer, dancer, producer and artistic director of annual Flamenco and Sevillanas productions:<br \/>\n2011 and 2012 Convento de Santos-o-Novo, Lisbon;<br \/>\n2013 \u2013 Franciscan Cultural Centre, Lisbon;<br \/>\n2014 \u201dInflu\u00eancias\u201d \u2013 Centro Cultural Franciscano, Lisbon;<br \/>\n2015 \u201cFus\u00f5es Improv\u00e1veis\u201d \u2013 Audit\u00f3rio Cam\u00f5es, Lisbon;<br \/>\n2016 \u201cReturning to the Classics\u201d \u2013 Marist Auditorium Carcavelos;<br \/>\n2017 \u201cRa\u00edzes\u201d \u2013 Audit\u00f3rio Maristas Carcavelos;<br \/>\n2018 \u201cInspiraciones\u201d \u2013 Teatro Armando Cortez\/Casa do Artista, Lisbon;<br \/>\n2019 \u201cEmociones\u201d \u2013 Teatro Armando Cortez\/Casa do Artista, Lisbon;<br \/>\n2021\/2022 Creation of the show \u201cVolver\u201d as Choreographer, Dancer and Artistic Director with the group Son Aires de Andalucia.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>\u00a0Isabel Rodriguez began her training in Classical Ballet at the age of six with teachers Vanda Ribeiro da Silva, Anna Mascolo and Margarida de Abreu.
